Here you will find an overview of grants currently available. All programmes have specific guidelines and applications forms which you can download below. Please do not forget to read the important information for applicants

Comic Relief (inc. Sport Relief)
Purpose: Area 1. Sports projects: To increase sport and exercise for people who face social exclusion and isolation; to help people experiencing difficulties in their lives. Area 2 - Other projects: Projects that increase local services, build skills of local people, increase community cohesion & respond to local economic needs.

Notes: Please note, the Comic Relief Fund includes Sport Relief - funding is available for both sports and non-sports projects.
Deptford Challenge Trust - Small Grants
Purpose: To improve the quality of life for people who live and work in Deptford. Proposed activites must benefit residents within the DCT area (please see map before you apply). Grants of between £500 and £5,000 are available. In particular the trustees encourage applications for projects that respond to a local need and promote networking and local partnerships. Previous grantees are welcome to apply, but priority will be given to new applicants.

Deptford Challenge Trust - Strategic Grants

Please be aware the Trust will only be able to make one or two multiple year grants. Deutsche Bank Employee Fund for Education and Social Invesment in London
Purpose: To support groups working under the themes of Education and Community Development. Please read the guidelines very carefully before applying.
Areas: All Boroughs
Closing dates: This fund is now closed for 09/10.

Purpose: To support groups working under the themes of Education and Community Development. Please read the guidelines very carefully before applying.

Notes:
Grassroots Grants
Purpose: To help build thriving local communities, bringing people from different backgrounds together and empowering them to achieve change. You can apply for up to £5,000. Your group must have been active in your local area for at least 1 year before you apply, with an annual income of less than £30,000. This can relate to your last financial year or be taken as an average over your last three financial years.
Areas: Bexley, Bromley, Camden, Greenwich, Kensington and Chelsea, Lambeth, Lewisham, Southwark, Westminster
Closing dates: Applications can be made at any time and Capital Community Foundation will aim to notify applicants of the decision within 6 weeks.

Lambeth Community Fund
Purpose: Supporting people who are out of work but who want a job, by increasing confidence, self-esteem and addressing barriers to training and employment opportunities.

Land Securities Capital Commitment Fund
Purpose: To turn ideas into reality through effective and dynamic community projects. The Capital Commitment Fund finances a wide range of projects including dance workshops for teenagers, children's sports clubs and a local history group. Priority will go to projects focused on children, young people and education.
Areas: Islington, Southwark, Tower Hamlets, Westminster

Purpose: Focusing on helping organisations to develop, achieve sustainability and improve service delivery to residents within the NDC area. Progression grants will fund core and development costs, with the aim of strengthening the organisation, and will target groups with strategic and growth potential.

Purpose: Organisations must be providing key, recession focused services under one of the themes below: A. Information, advice and guidance (housing, financial, debt and legal advice and support) B. Employment and employability (training and support related to finding employment). C. Health and wellbeing (mental health, relationship breakdown, counselling, domestic violence & substance abuse)

Monitoring Forms
New applications for funding can only be made if outstanding monitoring forms have been returned to Capital Community Foundation

Closing Dates
All applications must reach Capital Community Foundation by 5pm on the deadline date.

 

Income Thresholds

Some grants are targeted particularly at smaller organisations. Please check the guidlines for each fund carefully, particularly if your annual income is over £50,000.
