Training and resources

From time to time, CCF runs training sessions for both applicants and grantees. All details of upcoming training sessions are posted here.

You can also download our resource packs covering topics such as developing a set of rules/constitution, safeguarding (child protection), and guidelines on paying volunteering expenses.

Training Sessions

All our training sessions are FREE and lunch is also included for full day sessions. Half day sessions run from 9:30am – 1 pm. All other sessions run from 9:30am – 4pm unless otherwise stated.

To book your place please ensure you complete the booking form and return to CCF along with a refundable deposit of £25 prior to your course date. Please note, you may cancel your booking up to one week prior to the course, otherwise you will lose your deposit.

Excluding Financial Training all events will be delivered in an interactive, workshop style where you will be given the opportunity to work on different aspects of your own group on the day and encouraged to take away an action plan so that improvements continue beyond the events attended. Please do feel free to bring along current projects you are working on to make the most of the sessions.

Fundraising

9th September 2010 9.30am-4pm

This session is now fully booked

This is a full day and will cover the planning of fundraising, where to go to find the right funder as well as the main areas of filling in funding applications.

Financial Training

29th September 2010 9.30am-4pm

A chance to learn how to set up simple manual books, manage petty cash, complete bank reconciliations and prepare accounts.

Working in Partnership

2nd November 2010 9.30am-1pm

This half day event will help you to plan for and manage successful partnerships with other organisations. It will explore development of partnership agreements and the contents of what one could look like.
